Breakfast/Lunch has become a favorite meal around here. I'm always trying to find ways to encourage Logan's love for fresh healthy organic eats.

I've implemented a Montessori Inspired: Practical Life-- Food Prep series into our preschool homeschool-- and everyday life in general.

Each day we try to work on some type of  preparation.

Some days it's cutting (with a butter knife) and other days it's pouring.

We work on peeling (clementines, apples, potatoes, and carrots)
and buttering (peanut butter, almond butter, and cheese spreads).

We crack eggs, mix batters, and fill measuring cups.

We set up our eating area and clean up our messes when we're done.

Logan is so proud of her kitchen independence.

Pictured above are a few of our favorite meals. I let Lo assist in creating our "meal masterpiece," as she calls it. It's become our little kitchen craft of sorts.

I plan to document a little more in depth our Montessori Inspired themes, including the process of the prep, as we explore them throughout our little preschool homeschool. Stay tuned.

  1. I love this post! I get SO unoriginal with L's lunches but at the same time, she's so picky most meals are a battle :(
